OH OH WE'RE HALFWAY THERE

2 down and 2 to go... biostats and spanish finals are out of the way, just my two political finals left and then it is home free...

As stressful as this week is, and as happy as i will be when it is over, i am going to miss boston and the hectic suffolk experience. This is the place that became my home during school so it will be a huge change going somewhere 180 degrees different, and seeing how and what i can learn down there... defiantly going to be a challenge, but what's life without a little risk right?

Time to get to sleep, in order to make it to the library early tomorrow.. oh how i love finals week!!! yay finals... But in all seriousness, they are not too bad.  its a good way to test yourself and see how much you have put into your classes this semester

Asta luego

Winter is here

So it is now officially the first week of december, which means bitter colds and finals crunch time. This is quite possibly the worst week of school ever... for some reason everything that you forgot to do during the semester, ends up being due this week. For me that meant a 30 page paper on the failures of the MA health care system, a 30 page group paper and presentation on the paradigms in the realtionship between the executive and the legislature on foreign policy issues: a case study on Congressman Moakley, a 8 page paper on the wave of democracy on the african continent... thats just two classes.

But luckily for me those things are all done, just one more paper and then just studying.. good finals schedule though... one on tuesday, two wednesday, and one thursday.... then its off to NH on firday to deal with stuff for Costa Rica...

I have also decided that the idea of being in 80 degree weather in a month, makes the 21 degree days here in boston seem much much colder

Before i head off, just want to leave you with... GO PATS, and GO CELTS..... boston championships 2 and 3 are on the way!!!

Home again Home again

Welcome Back everyone!!!

I hope everyone had a fantastic turkey day, i know mine was quite good, though there was too much food, i mean seriously i ate turkey for like 4 days in a row, and thats a lot of bird.... Got to see the family though an that was good. I have found that there is some serious musical talent in my family ( I recieved none) but my middle cousin Kevin plays Sax in a bad that has been touring all around the US and Canada
That is him there in the yellow shirt! The band is called Mechatama and i guess you would call it a funk, ska, rock, pop hybird.... don't really know but check them out on myspace and see for yourself.. . http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=7390047

And then there is my brother who is also in a band, they are a few steps further along than my cousin, they just recorded their first album and now have the rights to their own songs which is very cool. His band is called Paper Scissors... get it cause you could go Paper Scissors Rock!! haha i know, i know but its his thing... He plays the drums... so you can imagine how it was growing up with someone obssessed with rhythm.
But i guess they are both doing well and that is good.

Thanksgiving break was a good holiday overall, i wanted to get a lot of work done but ended up just eating and sleeping for the majority of it. My family and i did venture into boston to see the Blue Man Group which, even the 3rd time is still a pretty amazing show to see.
But now it is back to boston, back to school, and back to life as a college student. two more papers to write this week, a presentation on monday and then just finals... i know it sounds weird to say "just" finals, but it will be a welcome relief to only focus on one thing at a time. Its good to be back though, i just need to get back into my routine and start busting out some quality work.

Almost there

So, its now monday... only 3 more days till Thanksgiving( one of my favorite holidays). This last week has been crazy busy, but i got the majority of my work done which is defiantly a weight off my shoulders... SO happy that there is a break coming up it will be nice to just do nothing for a whole week

When we get back there are only 3 weeks in the semester.. which means i'm one step closer to being in Costa Rica, just finals to get through

Suffolk open house was this past weekend, it went well crazy busy as usual.. but still a good time, it was cold though, really really cold.

Patriots went to 10-0 last night... amazing might i add... one championship down 2 to go... though the celtics did suffer their first loss last night, though they are still at the top of their division... seriously could you want to be anywhere else, other than boston right now!!

Just two of my favorite pictures from the red sox parade!! amazingly enough suffolk had classes that day, though i doubt very many people were actually there. some of my professors told us to not come because they weren't even going to be there... even the teachers are red sox fans GO BOSTON!!!

and if things couldn't get any better than Pats won again making them 9-0... which is pretty much the best thing ever

I will be happy when november is over, this is the month that you realize you actually have to do all the work, and write all those essays that you put off doing when they were assigned on the first day of class. I have four to do. a 6 pager, an 8 pager, a 5 pager--- which i am finishing tonight, and a massive 15 page policy paper on the massachusetts health care system.... and they are all do either right before or right after thanksgiving which is in about 2 weeks.. time to get started...

and with that i am back to the library and back to the books

Wish me luck

Mid-terms week

So remember all those papers and tests i had to do.... yep, still have to do them. Though i have finished off two of my three midterms getting a 101 on my African Politics test. Just took the biostats test today so we will see how that went, at least now i know how to determine the probablitiy that a sample mean that is normally distributed would be a good determinination of the population mean..... right.

Got a new computer this weekend, a new apple..."this is will make studying easier"- thats what i said to my dad

Off to do some work now

And we're off

First blog of this new thing we are trying here at good ole' SU. Won't be a long one, just a short introduction. My name is Jen, I am a junior here at Suffolk.

Today is an easy day, no classes on tuesdays or thursdays, just work and more work, perhaps some sleep if I'm lucky. Time to go give a tour now, then off to the library for about 5 hours. My goal is to get at least 10 sources for each of the 5 papers i have to write this semester. Not to mention the 60 page thesis that is due in a year!! Ya College!!

Time to go
